Sängvaruhuset SOVA is a retailer and e-merchandiser within beds and other bedroom furniture. It was founded in 1989 and has stores in most major cities in Sweden. Between 2014 to 2017 I worked there as a UI designer and was involved in several big projects.
Responsible for the UI/UX of SOVA
Combining design principles with quantitative data to innovate and iterate.
As the UI designer of SOVA I was responsible for the functional and graphical look of the entire site. This includes iterating on existing pages, creating entire new ones from the ground up and using different sources of quantitative data to analyze and find improvements.
Generating more visitors through content
Driving traffic to the site to educate and build trust among customers.
What became a big part during my time at SOVA was designing content pages. These were sometimes based on our own ideas and sometimes based on popular search terms to help drive more visitors to the site. The goal of the content pages was to provide good, useful information and to connect them with our product lineup.
Developing the digital look
Producing marketing material with a wide reach.
Parallel to working with the UI/UX at SOVA I was also responsible for the digital marketing material, such as banners, images for social media and newsletter content. The material was created to match, align and complement the TV and print equivalents to reach a wide range of consumers.
